is build 2 ramps, I recommend scaffolding planks 10' long, instead of 2X8 since they strength is on a horizontal position not vertical as standard 2X8 pine.
Cut pieces of 4X4 posts and 2x4 to the width of the planks, space them starting at one end every 4' on center.
Bolt them to the planks. I also added a wood wedge at the end of the planks on the top side so I don't roll the car over the planks.
So when ever I need to do any work under the car that doesn't require suspending the tires off the ground, I just drive the car into the garage place the planks at the entrance lined up with the tires and roll the car back out and over the planks until the tires hit the wedges.
With these 10' ramps I'm able to entirely remove the exhaust system if needed. Or drop the transmission if I place the car facing out. I'll take pictures of them when I get home tonight and post them if interested.
